New to chickens; I have 4 hens that are under a year and laying. We had a rooster, who attacked our dog, and did not survive. I incubated 4 of the young hens eggs, and miraculously two hatched. They are ameraucana, as we purchased our hens from a heritage breeder near us. We have added three (previously 4, and yes, the same dog) ducklings this spring, straight run from TS. They are 11 weeks and I’m not positive of their sexes yet. The two chicks that hatched 9 weeks ago are not yet sexed, though I suspect we may have a rooster again, which would be super! Anyway, thank you all for the great information and fun reading!
