- Not totally new - I had chickens, ducks, and turkeys growing up. We just moved to some acreage in December and picked up our first ducks 5 weeks ago and chickens one week ago.

- 4 ducks and 12 chickens

- Ducks: Pekins
- Chickens: Golden Comet (2), Barred Rock (2), Silver Laced Wyandottes (3), Rhode Island Reds (2), Blue Silkie (1), Partridge Silkie (1), & Red Silkie (1)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
- Chicks and baby ducks are adorable!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
- Woodworking, working on our new homestead, trail riding horses (we have 4 gaited horses

- 3 of us here at home, my wife and my step-son. Have 2 dogs (had 3 until one passed last week), 3 cats, 4 horses.

- Found BYC thanks to Google. Have been lurking for a while now and decided to register for an account.
