Hi, I'm homeschoolin momma!
I'm a busy mom of 5 kids living on a small hobby farm. We hatched our first chicken a little over a year ago and have been adding since. I think I currently have 20 right now. I raise mostly Orpington for their sweet nature, but also just got some Appenzellar Spitzhaubens from a lady who also is a member of backyard chickens. (What a small world!)
I found this site quite some time ago as it's the site that pops up anytime I type a question in Google about my chickens or turkeys.

Hi! What a nice flock you have! I see you have ducks in there too. We have three ducks also. 2 Rouen and 1 Peking that was supposed to be a Rouen but no one's told him that yet. ;)
I'm not a huge fan of the ducks, they are so messy, but are pretty to look at. We have to clean their kiddie pool out at least twice a day!

I've been homeschooling only for 8 years, since my oldest started 2nd grade. He was bored at school and they wouldnt accelerate him so I pulled him and challenged him myself. All my other kids just wanted to follow suit.
