Hope I'm posting this correctly
I'm the first of my generation NOT born in a farm, although my mother didn't raise chickens, my grandparents and most family members did, so I guess it's my turn now. I have adopted three chickens/hens - one adult Astrolaupe, Pullet Easter Egger or Americana and a Pullet Buff Rock. My husbands parents had chickens when he was a child too.
I'm an avid gardener and thought it best to start small and see how this goes. We also have three kitties that are no an issue with the chickens
We are in the North East Bay Area outskirts of California. I found backyard chickens from google searching and found it useful so I signed up and here we are.
