Hello my name is Tam and im new to this site. Very excited to be here tho. Im following the rules and here I am introducing myself lol so here goes.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

Growing up my mum had chickens we had alot of fun collecting the eggs and naming all of them individually, now I have a daughter of my own I want to give her the same experience.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

We have 4 young chickens unsure on genders.

(3) What breeds do you have?

Wyandotte

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

Was trying to find out more about the specific breed and came across this website.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I love reading, spending time with my pets, playing games over the computer and facebook, watching tv series, gardening and spending time with family.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I have a daughter, my daughter is 7. I'm 29 and studying full time nursing, I have alot of pets starting with the 2 dogs, one German shepherd and the other a black lab, I have 2 cats who are total sweethearts, I have a small fish tank, a jungle python, a Galah and a Conure. Plus the 4 chickens oh and my partner XD

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Hi Tam, I just joined yesterday. It's great you are giving your daughter that experience you had growing up. My niece and I just got our chickens in March and I'm hoping this will be a great experience for her. Sounds like you have your hands full with all the pets and schooling and children. I've gotten some great tips already from the forums and I wish you all the best.
