(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? No, I’m not new to chickens or other birds like ducks, geese, and pheasants. I first got chicken when I was ready young, before I even started school even and I always loved them.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? None unfortunately, it would be a dream come true to get some more.
(3) What breeds do you have? None rn, but I want Phoenix, old English game, Orpingtons, Japanese, and some more
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Bonding with them and keeping them as pets, raising them from little babies to have them follow me around and if I dig around in the yard they’ll come join me and kick around the leaves that I was looking for bugs for them, then getting to watch them eat the bugs they find. The eggs are nice, but to me it’s more about having a sweet pet.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Drawing, looking and learning about other birds, and other animals, but mostly the chickens, they’re amazing.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My foster mom is allergic to pet hair, so we don’t have any other pets, but it would be nice to have some outside pets like chickens.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
