Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Brand new to chickens (and we have ducks) we got our first birds march 1st.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 1 hen (10mo old) a 1yr old rooster (we adopted them together) and 8 chicks (ranging from 2 mo to 3 weeks)
(3) What breeds do you have?
oh boy so we have some Easter Eggers. What I suspect is a speckled Sussex, australorps, a pulled I'm unsure of breed but shes super sweet and loves attention. The ducks we have 2 Rowans and 4 Peking. No idea about our grown adoptees.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
they are super calming to be around, friendly and have a diverse group of personalities! And eggs our 10 mo old lays daily!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?!
Sewing, reading, camping, gardening but i work a ton so its hard to get time to do all of that
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a critical care medic so I usually work a lot, but with the current pandemic it's been more extreme, we have 4 cats, a dog and parrot on top of the flock.
