Hi! I'm glad to finally join this site with other chicken owners 
my love for these gorgeous birds started when my parents got two backyard hens when I was only 5! I've never looked back since. I'm OBSESSED.
They are my favourite animal of all time and now at 21, I have a flock of 10 beautiful girls. 8 ex battery hens and 2 bantams from my place of work.
I couldn't pick my favourite aspect of raising chickens if I tried. There are just so many wonderful benefits. One thing I especially love is seeing their personalities flourish in a enriching environment.
In my non chicken related part of life I am pretty multifaceted lol XD I am an artist, both digitally and traditionally, who lives in the UK. I also work at a farm where children come to learn about farmyard animals. I am also a vegetarian LOL but I wouldn't count that as a skill or a hobby.
My other pets include a german shepherd and a tortoise.
Ps: my username may seem quite odd, it's the name of one of my hens who we lost a few years ago. RIP Whip!
