(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
-we had chickens about 4 years ago and they all past. We restarted or flock 2 years ago. We had a successful egg hatching last year and added to the flock too.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
-7 chickens, 1 rooster and 2 new chicks atm.
(3) What breeds do you have?
-We have a polish, an Easter egged of sorts and the rest are barred Plymouth Rock chickens.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
-Having eggs, watching our children help with them.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
-crafting really is about it.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
- I’m a teacher and my husband works with a financing company with dealerships. We have 2 kids, a 4 year old girl and 10 month old boy. We have 2 dogs, lab and border collie.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
-a few years I’ve gone to the site and read threads. Decided I needed to join.
