I'm just looking to read some of the threads and learn what I can.
Contemplating getting rid of the rooster, cheaper to buy new chicks than to keep him around or separated since he could hurt them more than what he's worth.

Roosters can be a bit much on hens and yourself. If you are only interested in infertile eggs, a rooster is not needed. So glad you decided to join our community!

Why are we dising the rooster?? My big boy hates me but he's an amazing flock leader and has never harmed a chick or juvenile and any other bird in his flock for that matter.
