Hi all! Just joined and wanted to introduce myself using the questions recommended in the forum (I'm sure you'll get to know me through my many many questions in the future!)
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens, we got our hens in April 2020 and have raised them from chicks
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
5
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have 5 different breeds: Crevecoeur, Dominique, Silver Grey Dorking, Speckled Sussex, and White Rock
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love the eggs of course, but I enjoy learning all of their little personalities and hanging with them
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
gardening, reading, knitting, and sewing
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a mental health therapist living in Chicago with my husband, our indoor kitty, 3 outdoor feral kitties, and our 5 chickens
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC through googling my many questions throughout this chicken keeping process! I decided to join so I could ask questions and gain from the wealth of knowledge that is here!
