Hello everyone!
My grandparents have had chickens since I was still in primary school. I got my first hen from one of my teachers as a reward for completing swimming lessons without my grandma there with me. Even though I have grown up with chickens, I wasn't very interested in keeping that trend. Until now. So there is still a lot I need to know before I start my own flock. I have come here to learn.
My grandparents currently have 5 chickens. 2 are bantams and the other 3... I don't know. I will find out though.
I have to say as a kid I really liked going out with my grandpa to collect the eggs, and even though eggs are awesome and delicious, I want to raise chickens as more of a companion than just a source of food.
