(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I had chickens as a child but got my first personal chicks recently in March.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Right now I have 3 chickens about to move from the brooder box to the coop and I have 5 chicks and 2 turkeys still in brooder boxes.
(3) What breeds do you have? I have 7 chicken breeds and 2 turkey breeds.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I love seeing their different personalities develop and the bonus of fresh eggs is a positive.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Building a self-sustaining lifestyle, gardening, hiking and cooking.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. We are are small family with two golden retrievers, I work from home as a sales specialist which lets me be available for our growing homestead.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? I found BYC on Facebook and decided to check them out. I discovered that there was a lot of useful information here so I decided to join.
