Hi. I’m new to the forum. My family and I are just getting started with raising chickens. We live inside the city limits in Tyler, TX. We don’t have any birds yet. Does anyone here know where I might be able to buy birds from a local breeder?

I suggest you search your local FB Poultry Groups and Craigslist for potential sources of birds. But do educate yourself first on how to recognize a healthy bird from an ill bird first if you do not intend to purchase from a reputable hatchery like Ideal Poultry in Cameron TX. The large hatcheries ship across the nation.

I've bought chick's from Ideal and had a good experience. You should check your local Atwoods and Tractor Supply.
