Hi everyone! We have had chickens for 8-9 years and my husband grew up with them on the farm. We currently have 17 hens and 1 rooster, which we acquired from friends who could have him where they lived in town. (They will take him back once they find a place out in the country next year.). We have a mix of breeds that free range and are fed organic/non gmo feed mixed with scratch and mealy worms mostly, along with crushed egg shells or oyster shells and scraps from the garden or our kitchen. I am looking to learn about things I haven’t encountered and ask questions in emergencies.
