FYI: Agnus was my first pet chicken as a kid, and yes that is how I spelled it.
I live in Ohio and will be starting my back yard chicken venture/adventure this coming spring or early summer. I have some limited experience raising chickens (about 20 years ago).
I will be raising for both meat and eggs so I do plan on having a mixed flock. Not certain about which breeds I will be going with yet.
I also haven't picked out a style for my coop. I do not have any existing outbuildings, so my husband and I will be doing everything from scratch.
I am looking forward to learning so much from the experiences everyone has had and hopeful about having somewhere that my question/concerns will be both understood and answered.
