Hi all farmers out there... My name is Johnny and have started raising chickens around March 2022. I also am raising quail and getting a few eggs here and there. Since then I have been getting eggs from my hens (ISA- Brown chickens with a pretty rooster) I am not sure what the rooster is. The eggs the ISA are laying are a good size and noticed that are being fertilized. I put 17 in the incubator which 7 have hatched so far. The last one that came out is the one I am worried about. It has a small red mass hanging out of its back end. The little research I have done, said it was part of the yolk. It started out pea size and now it is a little larger (see picture). What is this mass? Should I try to take it off? Not sure what to do...
Thanks,
Johnny
