Hello everybody! I'm new to the poultry world just recently got me some chickens. I've always been interested but because of my career making me move left right and center it was never really convinient for me to get some poultry. We've recently purchase a nice house in the country. My first project was to build three nice little chicken coops. I can't tell you how much valuable information I got from this website. Heck I even got my coop plans from this forum somewhere the purina mills hen house. Thank you to whoever posted that link!!!
I have: COOP A :1 brown leghorn rooster, 1 light brahma hen, 1 golden pheonix, 1 cochinxbarredrock hen,
COOP B: Speckled Sussex 1 Rooster and 1 Hen
COOP C: Barred Rock 1 Hen and Rooster ( This is my big bad rooster, he is a monster!!)
1st lesson already learned: Roosters will fight through chicken wire! Learned that yesterday, everybody is ok but I don't think they can be friends.
