We brought new hens home about 10 days ago. One is 5 months old and had just started laying.
She gave us one egg on the first day and one the second day and since then no more. So it's been 9 days.
The second egg was squashed under her.

Do you think the move could have caused her to stop laying?
She was in a flock of about 20 and now she is with two others (from the same flock).
She has been eating heaps.
It has been very hot here.
Any clues or am I just being impatient?

It can take up to two weeks for them to settle in.

Are you certain that you don't have egg eaters?

Give it a bit more time imho. Besides... It'll depend on the breed how many eggs are layed. My Black Rocks are supposed to do around 280/year.... There's a further 85 days without an egg.... A move or suprise will put many off and you often find it takes a day or two for them to stop. Then a week or so to start again.
