Hi all,
Im worried that mumma duck will not be able to keep all 14 ofthe littlies warm, she is having a hard time during naps in that she cannot sit down due to the amount of ducklings under her. It has just turned spring here.
Should I be providing an extra heat source in her shelter.
Red light? they are only a few days old but im thinking of when they get a bit bigger, then someone is going to get left out!!!The outer circle duckies get the "sharp end of the stick"! the inner circle duckies get warmth all round!
Ive placed more hay in there for them.
Just a thought, i wouldnt be worried if she only had 8.
