Is 4 nest boxes enough?

Hello, I have 14 sex link hens, they are very large about 15 weeks old. I have 4 nest boxes and looking at these hens will they be enough? I have delaware/road island red cross and plymouth rock/road island red cross. thanks in advance

Average is 3/4 birds pert nest box. Some birds may perfer to lay in one particular box. Sometimes I get 2 or 3 birds in one nest box.

Some books I've read have said 5 hens to a nestbox. Personaly, I would do no more than 3 to a box.

It will be fine. They all will have favorites. I had over a dozen always fighting for the same spot...

I think you'll be fine and I wouldn't be surprised if most of them still gravitate to one or two boxes....
