Ok, ok. I know it's early, and I know Saxony take a long time to mature, but Peanut isn't helping me figure out if I've got a HIM or a HER.

Peanut won't quack or rasp or even peep. This duckie is completely mute so far.

I'm wondering if I'm starting to see gray coming in just above Peanut's bill:

And on top of his/her head:

Not a big deal if Peanut's a drake. I'll just have adjust their future housing situation because I'll need to keep them separate from my chickens.

What do y'all think???

I am just fine with that answer!
👍

Any idea when I might be able to tell? Again, just for planning purposes as I am going to be building a new house for the chickens and ducks soon.

Dang she is so big already, gender should be pretty apparent soon.
I KNOW. It's like someone came and switched out my little babies for these monsters!

All her sisters have started quacking. Peanut doesn't even peep anymore. Just... silent.

My Runner drake is named Peanut I call him Pea for short. Give Peanut a few more weeks to get his/her voice. such a cutie
Our Peanut is named Peanut because I told my husband I was ordering 3 ducks. My story when 4 arrived?

Me: "Gee, hunny, they must've added a 'packing peanut' to keep the others warm during shipping."

Hubby: "Then you know we HAVE TO call this one Peanut."
