is 77% humidity to high for lockdown

we are i the first 24 hours of lockdown the humitity is 77% right now an temp is 100.2 we are useing a lg should i try to lower the humity or just let it be i think it will go down as water dries up right

I like to keep mine at 60% to 63% to start out, when the chicks start hatching, it will spike up.

If it's too wet they can get sticky...do you have vents?

Someone here once said they ended up with 80% humidity and still had a good hatch. My only and recent hatch was about 75% to good results. But then its also supposed to matter what the humidity has been like from day 1 - 18. I wouldn't expect the humidity to go down all by itself now that you are in lockdown... mine wouldn't, but then I'm in S FL and the only way I could keep it below 50% (day 1-18) was not to have any water in there at all!

I have 2 homemade bators that are fairly easy to get 75% + in my hovabator it is a lot harder to get it that high in you may want to check your hygrometer's accuracy after this hatch .

This has somewhat to do with your climate. Here in Florida I prefer to keep the final three day humidity in the 60-65% range. A more arid climate may be fine with a higher one.

My LG bator also went above 75 % a few times during lock down, we had a really good hatch rate of 100% I kept the temp at 101. or so and yes I had a fan in there but the inner thermometer indicated that anything below that would lower the temperature inside the eggs.
