Is a 3lb chicken considered a bantam

I'm making my own breed of chicken and I want it 3 lbs for meat for small families but still a bantam. So just wondering if 3lbs is still considered bantam sized. I'm aiming for 2.5 to 3 lbs.

I love this goal! Bantams are usually less than 3 pounds, so yes it would be a larger bantam

My chickens right now range from 2.5 to 4 lbs(the biggest is the rooster)

I think so! Theres not really a set number for whats considered a bantam.
