Hello :D We have a 7 week old silver campine rooster-to-be, and I'm not sure how big he's going to get. We were looking to get some bantams possibly but we don't want them to get hurt by his size if he's too big. Does anyone know?

I used to have my bantams (1 hen, 1 rooster at the time) with my standards, but my other rooster, a standard EE, is huge and was just too much for my cochin bantam hen. Silver campines generally aren't that big though, so it might work, depending on how rough he is with the girls.
What kind of bantams are you planning to get? I would stick with bigger bantams like brahmas, cochins, wyandottes, etc.

Thanks for the reply :) One of the ones we want is actually the breed in your pic hehe, the d'uccle. I forgot there's of course size differences in bantams too

D'uccles are great, but they are ridiculously small. About the size of a dove. I would not feel comfortable mixing them with a standard rooster.
