Hi there, I'm new. I have 4 Rhode Island Red hens (we're only allowed 4 hens in the city).
They are one year and two months old. They are so fun!
Recently I've run into a couple problems that this site has really helped me out with.
I'm glad to be here and looking forward to sharing my experiences and learning from y'all.

Welcome to BYC!

You will enjoy all of the great people here and there is so much information for the new chicken owner. But I will say, I'm sure my chickens own me now, and not the other way around!

I've been on here for quite a while and I've really met some lifelong friends, both local and long distance.
Have fun!

Thank you Bunnymomma. I'm a bunny momma too (10 years). Netherlands Dwarfs. My last litter had a tiny, tiny runt that I gave TLC to. He's now 3 months old and healthy, but still a tiny guy. He had eye problems at first but the vet gave me some drops to clear it up. Then he got GI stasis and nearly died.
I know this is a chicken forum, but I couldn't help myself bragging!

Wonderful! I love rabbits! I sometimes rehabilitate eastern cottontails and I raise Jersey Woolies, Netherland Dwarfs and Holland Lops. I show the Jersey Woolies, but I don't show the other 2 breeds. I have Black Otter Netherlands. My Jersey Woolies are broken chestnut, chestnut, black otter and siamese sable. Other colors too! I have a new holland lop baby that is a smoke pearl. He was the only one to survive Hali's last litter. So he is a chubby little fellow. It is 15 days old now. This is a good place to brag about your babies! I do the same. I'd love to see a picture of the little fellow, he sure sounds cute.
Here is a photo of Howie, he is my netherland dwarf buck. He weighs less than a pound. He is really sweet. I named him after Howie Mandel.

Bunnies are welcome here, who could resist anything that adorable??

Okay. I'm glad I didn't break any rules on my first day... like in Kindergarten.
Here's a picture of my last Netherland Dearf litter. "Peanut" is the tiny one I kept.
