Is bread bad for my girls?

I just found out yesterday that my chickens love bread. Is it ok to give them in moderation?

Hi! Yep, bread is okay. It just has little nutritional value so, as you said, feed it in moderation.

My husbands grandfather feed his chickens bread everyday so we started that too. We soak it in water and sometimes add yogurt or applesauce to it. It seems to fill them up for a while. They also love dried meal worm which are a lot of protein. Are yours free range?

We give ours bread and even the last of any cake or breakfast goodies we bake up, they LOVE it I found my Roo particularly LOVES when the goodies have chocolate chips in them lol we just don't over do it

I feed mine bread every other day. They go crazy nuts for it.
