Is Brooster a Rooster?

Ok, so I have discovered that my little D'uccle rooster can't fertilize any of the large hens. I went out a week ago and bought this Barred Rock in hopes that he (sold to me as a she) would become a Rooster. He was the only one at the feed store so he has been living with my d'uccle babies. I have done everything (chanted) to encourage it to grow up and be a boy. I noticed today that his comb is very red all of a sudden. Is it working?

From the color I would say girl, although the comb is quite red...

not that hard to find a rooster. try craigslist.

Color says pullet, but I see white comin through that black, and it does look like a cockeral.

everything that i know about barred rocks says she is a pullet, except the comb size and color, i have had many that come that way, look to be a pullet and end out a roo, good luck!!
