We purchased a bunch of sweet corn on the cob this past weekend for dinner. We boiled it all and had too much left. I was wondering if it would be ok to give to the chickens (about 8 weeks old) to eat off the cobb?

Thank you.

It certainly won't hurt them but as Freds Hens said they may take a bit to get used to it. Once we gave it to ours and they figured out it tasted good they were nuts for it after that. Just stand back a little if you don't want splattered with corn juice once they catch on to it!

Hello Chickens lovers :) I fed my 3 week old chick can corn for the first time today OMG they loved it,I took some pieces and smash it between my fingers and stuck my fingers in the cage they went crazy ....

Mine love it raw or steamed. We always seem to have an ear or two leftover from dinner, so it doesn't go to waste.

They also love fresh whole tomatoes and peaches. Just remember to remove the produce stickers!
