Hello Everyone,

After separating out my 3 definite Jakes out of 5 poults, I'm now a little paranoid one if the Jennys may be a jake as well.

Cranberry is nowhere near as manly as their bros, but their head is a bit larger than my definite Jenny and has a more prominent waddle.

I've caught Cranberry displaying once in a blue moon, but it's nothing like the boys, who play merry-go-round in the rooster coop now that they've been split up.

So what do you guys think, sneaky jake or fast developing Jenny?

They were all born around end of October. Here's pics of Cranberrie's bros and sis for comparison.

Sister, Praline and her much smaller snood and wattle:

And the Boys, who aren't very photogenic at the moment - bigger caruncles and just more obvious all around:

Not quite old enough to draw any conclusions from photos.

It is not unusual for hens to display and is not something that I use to determine sex.

Hopefully, I'm just being paranoid with Cranberry. My ratio is already off as this is supposed to be me establishing a breeding group and only having one girl would be pretty disasterous... Less so with two. Already my need to freezer camp a jake or two eventually, but they're all such sweet boys.

Cranberry realized he\she could lay their head in my lap and I'd pet it - now this is their thing to do. Almost fell asleep standing up, silly thing.
