Is DG OK?

We get DG by the truck load so if I hard pack this on the coop floor with pellets/shavings or hay over it, will I be good? Mostly concerned about the dust factor. Again...this is just a sleeping/laying coop. The chickens are free range.

Well, the dust factor comes from the chickens themselves (their poop and skin, etc.) so what is on the floor under their bedding isn't likely to help with that issue.

I have no personal experience with DG (I didn't know what it was either - learn something new everyday) but it sounds like it would work fine. However, my thought would be how hard it will be to clean with the poop going down in between the little pieces. Maybe you've got that figured out?
