Is Essentria IC3 safe to spray on chickens?

My chickens have a problem...They have mites and lice at the same time! I was wondering if Essentia was safe to spray it on the chickens and in their coop? We have day old chicks in the coop as well. We don’t want to use any chemicals.

I have not used it. Apparently it is safe for livestock. From my research the length of residual activity is shorter than standard insecticides and should be used within 24 hours of mixing. If left longer, it could damage spraying equipment and loose it's effectiveness.

I use permethrin spray in the coops and dust on the birds. I had a severe infestation of mites primarily in one coop which I attribute to wild birds that had tried to build nests in the coop. My birds were ugly. I thought they were molting but they didn't seem to be getting their feathers back in so upon closer inspection I discovered they were covered with mites. I have been spraying the coops weekly and initially dusted the birds and put some permethrin dust in places they like to dust and in their nest boxes. It took quite awhile but no more mites and the birds are beautiful again.

Hi! We thought about permethrin spray and dust but, as I said, we try not to us chemicals. Thanks for replying though. I saw online that we could use Essentia in the coop, but unfortunately they said nothing about using it on the chickens.

Bad bugs need to be treated and eliminated, and only insecticides work for this. Pyrethrin is the organically approved product, and permethrin is longer lasting and effective. The very expensive product is spinosad.
I've had birds die because of lice or mites, and it's not happening here, ever again!
