I need advice on how to identify a broody chciken, so I know if I should worry aout my injured chicken

I have a young chicken, who has been laying for around a month. She is pretty good, and lays at least 6 days a week. This week by dogs got hold of her, and made a real mess of her. I was going to euthenase her, as all the skin was pulled off the back of her neck and back in a huge flap, and there was bone visible. I was pretty sure that she was not going to survive, however my kids were watching and in tears and I could not ring her neck in fron tof them. Wanting to avoid traumatic childhood memories, I took her off to the vet. I fully expected him to take her to a back room and eutenase her, however to my great suprise, he took her into surgery and fixed her! He said he beleived her chances were very good, and she should be fine.
She came home the next day, and seemed okay, eating and drinking and moving around, and even layed an egg. However she now seems to be sitting in her egg-box and not moving. She normally does not sit in there, but she spent most of yesterday in there. I pulled her out once, to spray her wound with an antibiotic spray, and she seemed okay - but then hopped right back in. I was wondering if she might be giong broody? What is a broody hen like? Or is it more likely related to the big wound on her neck? I dont want to assume it is that she is broody, and leave her, if it is in fact that infection is setting in,but also don't really want to take her to the vet every day. I did take her out and have a look at her, and sprayed herr neck with an anti-bacterial, and she seems okay - just really wants to hop straight back into the box though.

The timeline goes like this:
The dog attack was on Tuesday.
She came home on Wednesday,
found an egg thursday morning (may have been layed late on Wednesday)
and on Thursday she did not want to get up. Seems sleepy
It is Friday now.

I would guess her staying in the nest is related to the injury. There probably isn't much more the vet can do, anyway. I would continue doing what you are doing, and of course offer foods she might like, maybe a scrambled egg or a bit of yogurt mixed with a bit of feed. If you have some Gatorade or other sports drink, maybe put about an ounce in her water each morning for a few days. Good luck!
