Is it safe to feed broiler/starter crumbles to chicks that are not bred to be fast meat producers? I have barred rock chicks and buckeye chicks coming. the broiler ration is also medicated. I don't want to have health problems in my 'babies' because of feed designed espectially for the meat producing commercial breeds. thank you

What percentage protein is the feed? Normal chick starter is 24%, so if it's around there it should be fine.
