Is it a mite?

They're tiny-tiny-tiny, and I really can't tell, even under a magnifier. We had these in the coop a couple of years ago. I panicked and made Hubby clean the coop and spray with permethrin.

Now, after a particularly wet couple of months, they're back. Daughter came in from cleaning the coop this morning with them crawling on her. The bugs kinda don't look like mites - but they kinda do.

Any help with ID is appreciated!

Ugh! Somehow that's not as scary as mites, but daughter will be disgusted!
