Is it a sign or pathetic desperation?

Is there any chance that Chicken Little (at 6 1/2 weeks) is sitting in the nest box because (s)he's a girl and practising for when she is a big girl and lays eggs of her own, or does it just mean that (s)he likes sitting in the nest box?

Can you tell I'm desperate and will clutch at even the tiniest glimmer of hope that CL is a girl.

I have some juvies that do that. I think they just feel safe there.

I don't think i'd go by that. You will probably just have to wait a little longer, and she what he/she develops into.
Are you unable to keep roos?
