So in my incubator 2 of my 3 hatched. one monday the other early yesterday

The last egg in my incubator is not doing anything. I candle it because it's not pipped and I had to remove my chicks.

It appears mal-positioned. As I see a wing pointing towards the air cell not down... *see photo below*

I made the executive decision at this point to assist. I have opened the air cell and outer membrane. I have placed bacitracin on the inner membrane. I see a bunch of fluid in there so I have stopped. But quite frankly nothing in there is moving at all.... I see nothing that looks like a beak at all. At this point that chick should still be moving in that membrane right? I do see red veins in the membrane and nothing has bled. I have placed the egg back in the incubator in a moist paper towel... but is it a goner? I mean a qtip with bacatrin rubbed on the membrane gently did not prompt movement..... (this is after either my broody hen or my other full grown hen ATE a chick that hatched under her yesterday... yeah.... its not a good chicken day here)

Okay.... Sometimesaid just movement =dead on Facebook.

It was dead. I just peeled open the whole egg. The yolk was ruptured in the membrane and the chicks beak was in the yolk sack. Could it have been so malpositioned to have pipped its own yolk sack?

Sadly it looks like it would have been a beautiful 5 toed black silkie baby.
