Is it bad when.....? UPDATE! EGG IS MOVING!!!!

When you candle your eggs on day 18 right before lockdown and all you can see is big black blobs like you can't see the rest of the egg??
It's like pitch black with a led light shining in.

Also I couldn't see anything moving....? Anyone help?!

UPDATE!!! It is only day 19 and one of the eggs is shaking!!

Do they look like your's? If so, this is totally normal

You shouldn't
be able to see much at all, other than the airsack and a few veins.
Not much movement will be visible either.

I candled my eggs last night and all I seen was black and air cell. I did see a vein. I'm sitting on my hands now and promise NOT to touch again;-) Good luck!

Is exactly what you should see. If you candle the bottom and see clear space, then you can assume that it is a quiter.

You are seeing what you should see. At that stage of development I never see movement. I still set all eggs except clear ones or nearly clear ones in the hatcher at lockdown. There have been a few times I thought for sure the eggs with exceptionally large air cells were quitters so I put an X on those eggs and to my surprise they hatched. You just never know.

YAY that's GREAT news! We're on the same schedule, this will be interesting to see whos eggs hatch first! How many do you have again?
