Is it easy to rehome cockerels that show potential to be used as a meat bird breeder?

I have a cockerel that is maybe showing some potential to use as a meat bird breeder. I haven't weighed him yet at 8 weeks but he's feeling great in my hand. I was originally going to eat him but it seems a waste if someone can use him as a breeder. Is it common to rehome the boys for this purpose? I would send a pullet or 2 with him so he doesn't go alone.
He's a mix of Delaware/Wyandotte. Pretty boy.

Smart to put a couple of pullets with a cockerel as just the cockerel might be hard to sell/give away. Now you could ask for $$.

I would try my state/region Facebook poultry groups. That's where I have the best luck buying/selling.
