Is it normal for a hen to stop laying eggs after a injury?

One of my hen's was injured by a dog. She is making great recovery but she had not laid a single egg since the attack. Before she was laying about 1 egg a day. Is this normal? If so why?

she may be in shock. how long has it been since she last laid an egg?

It has been a little over a week. She seems to be back to her normal self scratching around for bugs and talking but still no egg laying

The stress of the attack may cause her to stop egg production for a significant period of time. This is not unusual at all.

She is probably putting a lot of energy into healing. That, and the shock, combined, may meann it will be awhile before she lays again.
