My quail started laying last week. I am getting 3 a day out of 7 females. First couple were tiny. But when we cracked them open 5 of the 7 were double yokers. Is that normal? And if my roo is actually doing his deed would they hatch?

They can hatch but it's RARE. They can even start to develop but die off of complications during the development.

Like Feathersobssesion said its rare, but Ive heard of people who've hatched twin ducks, two out of same egg, havent heard anything from quails, but im sure id work the same way, you should give it a try, who knows you might get some twins!!!

Most of the eggs for a couple weeks are double yolkers or really tiny, as for hatching, I agree with the above two! There's no hurt in trying, though!
