is it ok that a new mom hen loses some weight?

Hi
my new mommy - she hatched two chicks and they are doing great. Its been 12 days. Shes a fantastic mom.
I picked her up recently and she is definately not as meaty as before. Plus her comb is a little bit less red and more pink now.
I know the sitting on the nest for weeks can do it (she had food and water near) and take a toll but it was so scary to feel her body.

What can I give her to fatten her up? It has to be safe for chicks... she gives EVERYTHING she finds to them first
