Is it ok to candle eggs that are in lockdown?

Is it ok to candle an egg during lockdown and before any external pips as long as I don't turn the egg, do it fast and mist the egg to compensate for any loos of humidity due to opening the incubator? I am dying to see if I have any internal pips. Today is day 20.

First one hatched this mornign. Can anyone tell me what color is this baby silkie?

Um, blonde? It sure is cute whatever it's official color is! I just set some silkie eggs myself, so I guess I need to bone up on the breed. Good luck on the rest of your hatch!

ETA isn't Buff an official color? That would be my GUESS

Looks Buff to me!! Lucky you! I have been wanting buffs for some time. Kinda light so might feather in white but those buff spots make me lean towards a lighter buff color. So cute!
