ive been feeding my hens cracked corn but a lot of people been telling me to feed them some layer mash or pellets ive fed them cracked corn since they were 2 months should i change or keep going

Cracked corn is pretty much chicken candy, it's best ONLY to feed that along the side with a regular diet of layer pellets. I'd make the change slowly though, and add pellets to their scratch a little bit each day...

I don't feed my chickens layer pellets/mash. I only feed cracked corn and they free range on a huge pasture. They are healthy and lay very well.

If you make the change too gradule they might just pick threw the mash and pick out the cracked corn. If they are laying I think it's very important they are getting the calcium they would get in layer feed. They will become over weight on straight cracked corn too.
