Is it prudent to let a wonderful broody hen hatch a second clutch of eggs?

Have a wonderful girl setting eggs now. I would like to remove the chicks when they hatch next week and allow her to raise a second clutch. Is this possible or recommended. I would let her raise the second batch of chicks. Thank you in advance. Bren

Not the best plan. A broody hen will deplete her fat stores sitting so by day 21 she is considerably thinner. She needs to get off the nest and eating regularly. There is also no guarantee she will stay broody another 3 weeks. If she's gone full broody and it's only April, chances are she'll go again late summer. Let her raise these chicks and do another clutch later.

x2! She's really going to give it her all with the first hatch. Especially after the 3-4 day lockdown when she doesn't budge off that nest for food, water, or bathroom break. She'll need a break.

That was sort of my inclination but thought I would ask. Really appreciate the info. Bren
