yes i do its not really mine though we "rented" out land to some people that were starting it for the polination it was its first year last year we got 40 ounces of honey

I have bantam Australorp and Wyandotte. They are lovely friendly egg-laying machines. Their eggs started out small about 28 grms, but now weigh 38-42 grms. They lay every day. The eggs are a light brown colour and yummy. I have just made a three tier wedding cake using their eggs.

seeing as its just one hive and people really dont come and see us all that much people dont really care all that much plus there are so many flowers in our yard they really dont travel all that far away

if you have a bee hive in the middle of the burbs you def. sound like the right type of person for chicks. get a couple of old english bantam hens that a breeder is culling out. there so small you could disguise them as doves or pigeons.

A great reference book, Gail Damerow's 'Storey's Guide to Chickens' is an excellent guide, as well as this web site. This site is an excellent source of information.

Also here are some other good sites and info.
