So last night when i was tending to the Cornish x's I noticed a "sleepy" smaller broiler. They are 7 weeks old this week and going to process on Friday. This morning i went out and the broiler was on its side/back but still alive. I took it to the shop and culled it and drained it, but had to go to work. It currently is in my poultry fridge draining/cooling but its fully intact still, I only had time to cull it.
My question is can/should this broiler be consumed? other than sleepy and diarrhea it seems overall healthy, but it was raining this am and is just a little dirty from the weather conditions.
Never given antibiotics, just ACV and fed organic since day 1.
Any advice would be great! Want to take care of the rest of the processing when i get home in 6 hours, but only if its safe to consume.
Thanks!
