I had a peahen hatch some chicks of her own, and long story short they are dead

. Could she still lay another clutch and hatch them? Is it to late in the breeding season? The male is almost done molting for this year, just a few more feathers to go. I know they will sometimes lay a third clutch, but I'm guessing it's kind of rare.

i get 3 to 4 clutches per hen. even got a peahen setting after hatching some out earlier , i pull her chicks, Now if your peacock has drop his train eggs will not be fertile.

Thanks for the info Deerman. I learned something. I did not realize if they hatched some eggs, they would lay again.

She hatched them right at the beginning of June, and the last chick disappeared last week. So it's all very recent, my hopes aren't too high
