Hello everyone. I live in Massachusetts where the nights hover around 40 degrees or so. I have a hutch for my quail with an enclosed section with a lamp. They will be 3 weeks old soon and I would love to get them outside. Does anyone have a bit of advice for me, it is my first go-around.

I think they will be fine, personally I don't even think you need a heat lamp, as long as they stay dry and have an enclosed area to get out of the wind they'll be just fine. I'm in the northeast and have coturnix a little older than yours and they are fine, don't know if its normal for coturnix but I see mine huddle together at night, quite the heartwarming sight!!

Thank you. I feel pretty safe with them going outside this weekend. I will let you know how it goes!
