Is it too early to tell?

We're one of the suckers who went to Tractor Supply for something completely unrelated and came home with 2 ducklings. lol

So, they're about weeks old now and we're thinking that the white one is a Pekin, but the puzzle is if the brown/black one is a Mallard or a Rouen. I've read about the 2 stripe vs. 1 stripe, but I'm not sure if that is once they're older or is that also when they're little?

I know it doesn't matter a ton, but my kids would like to research the breeds and it would be nice to get the right ones! lol...guess that's what we get for buying "random ducks"!

Congrats!! I acquired some TSC ducklings this year, too. How can you not, right?

Looks like a Pekin and I'd guess Rouen by the eye stripes, as you said. I got a little Mallard, and she only has a single eye stripe. Both very cute!
